April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star from America She is one of a small group of women who have been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. In Tokyo in the coming days she will attempt to win her third gold medal together with fellow first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. However, more importantly Ross hopes to win her very first Olympic gold. At 39, it could be her last opportunity to get it done. She remains confident though that the most important medals are just a few steps away. Ross on NBC Boston, said that Ross was convinced that the team could get a gold medal if we played our best. So I'm going to take an extra bit of luck as well. Ross was born in 1982 in Costa Mesa California where she resided with her parents and sister. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of sports during her time at Newport Harbor High School. She played basketball and ran track, in addition to her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. As a finalist in her sport, she clearly stood out. While in high school she played middle blocker outside setter and hitter on a volleyball court according to her university bio. The honor was conferred to her by in the category of Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the Year in 1999 for her efforts. The skills she showed in volleyball also earned her the Orange County Athlete of the Years trophy in 2000. Ross and Klineman have been performing their duties from 2017. In reality, Ross was already a respected player on the scene of beach volleyball before this pairing. Her name has appeared in major tournaments twice with different partners. One of them is an icon of the volleyball world. Between 2007 and 2013, she was partnered with Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Along with Kessy Ross, the duo won a World Title in 2009 as she raced on the international circuit. In 2012, the team took silver in London's Olympics. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor won gold, overtaking them. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor decided to retire. The pair took bronze at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. After high school and many years before hitting the beach as a professional Ross made her debut for the USC Trojans as an NCAA. In fact, her time in the Trojans' ranks was one to remember. Her achievements included an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of Year in the year 2000. She also helped her Trojans in reaching the Final Four. In her sophomore year, she was devastated by a personal loss but still managed to make it back as an All-American. Through her final two years at the school, she helped lead the Trojans towards the top of the mountain netting successive national titles. As an individual, she established herself as a legendary player by winning this year's Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross was a international relations major at USC. Margie Ross never saw her daughter reach the top in beach volleyball. At the time of 2001, while Ross was in her sophomore year at USC her mother passed away due to cancer of the breast. She still cherishes the memory of her parent. Also, Margie has always been an encouragement for her at the beach and in her daily life.
